Yes โ completely free, with no account and no download. Daily, Blitz, Finish the Line, and the rhyme dictionary all run in your browser.
What counts as a rhyme?
A perfect rhyme: two words whose sounds from the last stressed vowel onward match. We judge with the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary, so it is about pronunciation, not spelling.
When does the Daily word change?
Every day at midnight, your local time. Everyone worldwide gets the same target word on the same day.
Does The Rhyme Game work on mobile?
Yes. It runs in any modern browser on phones, tablets, and laptops โ nothing to install.
Can I play against friends?
Share your score card after any run and challenge friends to beat it on the same Daily word. A head-to-head room mode is on the roadmap.
What data do you collect?
Only anonymous usage stats. Scores and streaks are stored locally on your own device, not on our servers.
Who makes The Rhyme Game?
An independent builder who likes word games. The rhyme engine is built on the open CMU Pronouncing Dictionary from Carnegie Mellon University.
What is the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary?
A public-domain pronunciation dictionary of North American English maintained by Carnegie Mellon University. It records how over 100,000 words are pronounced, which lets us judge rhymes by sound rather than spelling.
